Certified Capacity Building Training: Finnish Pedagogy

In September 2024, together with our partners in Uzbekistan, we delivered an immersive blended training program on pedagogical competencies, led by Dr. Ilkhom Khalimzoda, as part of a broader international initiative spanning three countries. 

The program combined online training modules and expert-led virtual sessions focusing on active and competency-based learning, teacher education, and academic research. As a complimentary on-site component, participants traveled to Finland for a deep-dive experience that began with orientation and continued in Jyväskylä, where they engaged in practical sessions on Finland’s history, culture, and its internationally recognized education system.

Participants visited daycares, schools, and the University of Jyväskylä to see educational practices firsthand, reinforcing the concepts introduced online. The visit also included campus and city tours, interactive workshops on research and publishing, and cultural experiences such as hiking and local sightseeing. A memorable highlight was the storytelling session about the legends of Jyväskylä, offering a unique cultural immersion as part of the broader training journey.
